Jerald A. Moss Memorial Scholarship

The Jerald A. Moss Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2025 and aims to honor the legacy of Jerald “Jerry” Allen Moss by supporting students pursuing careers in respiratory therapy. Jerry dedicated his life to the field, earning a Bachelor of Science in Inhalation Therapy from Ottawa University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He served as a beloved educator and Director of Respiratory Care at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha from 1985 until his retirement in 2020. Known for his humor, dedication, and mentorship, Jerry profoundly impact the lives of his students. This scholarship seeks to continue his passion by assisting dedicated students who aspire to make a difference in respiratory care, embodying Jerry’s spirit of education, compassion, and excellence.
This scholarship will support tuition and facility fees.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Accepted into the Respiratory Therapy Program
- Full-time MCC Student
- Minimum cumulative of 3.0
- Demonstrated leadership and/or community service within the medical community preferred, but not necessary
