The MCC Student Emergency Grant provides one-time financial assistance of up to $1,500.00, to eligible MCC students experiencing an unforeseen financial emergency that threatens their ability to remain enrolled and successfully complete their studies. The grant is intended to address short-term emergencies that occur during the academic quarter in which assistance is requested.

An emergency is defined as a temporary, unexpected situation beyond the student's control, such as loss of employment or another unforeseen financial hardship, that jeopardizes the student's housing, safety, or continued enrollment.

Before an emergency grant is awarded, all other available financial resources, including Student Financial Aid, must be considered and determined to be insufficient, unavailable, or unable to provide assistance in a timely manner.

Approved emergency grant funds are paid directly to the vendor. Under no circumstances will payments be issued directly to the student.
