About This Program

The MCC Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) Course is a fully online, instructor-led program that prepares participants for the Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR®) certification exam through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).

Participants build foundational knowledge in human resource management through instructor-led instruction, case studies, and real-world examples. The course explores current workplace topics and prepares participants for entry-level human resources roles.

Who is This Program For?

This course is designed for individuals beginning a career in human resources or professionals transitioning into the HR field. It is also ideal for those seeking to earn the aPHR® certification to demonstrate foundational human resources knowledge.

Program Format and Length

The Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) Course is a seven-week, fully online program. Class meets once per week for three hours, providing a structured schedule that balances flexibility with instructor guidance.

Upon completion, participants will be prepared to sit for the Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR®) certification exam, a 100-question, computer-based assessment administered by the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).

Cost and Funding Opportunities

The cost of the Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) Course is $2,049 and includes all required coursework and the aPHR® certification exam fee.

Eligibility

Participants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. No previous human resources experience is required. The course is designed for individuals beginning a career in human resources or professionals transitioning into the field.
